Exactly my thoughts on Our Lady of Guadalupe v Morrisey-Beru (US Supreme Court, 2020):

“As the new ethical liberalism fails to take conscience seriously, it also risks undermining the claims of community. It is at least arguable that the central idea of liberalism is not even the free individual, but the community of persons committed to the collective pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty, free from the coercive orders of politics and law.
